Disclosed lower entry barriers, lower-cost digital competitors and penalty-free customer exits weaken structural protection. Improved pricing outcomes also reflect asset repricing, funding mix and hedging effects, rather than demonstrated durable pricing power.

The deposit franchise provides a current funding benefit: first-half 2026 average deposits increased while the total deposit rate declined. A durable cost advantage over competitors is not established.

Durability: Demonstrated over the disclosed comparison period; persistence across interest-rate and competitive cycles remains unproven. Private Bank expansion is producing deposit growth, but its potential does not establish a moat.
