Franco-Nevada has a narrow moat from its existing contractual royalty and streaming rights, including long-duration claims on specific production and substantial protection from operator cost inflation. These rights generated actual revenue and cannot simply be displaced by a competing financier. The passages do not establish superior economics in acquiring new interests or exceptional durability across the portfolio. Pricing power is limited: favorable commodity prices increased revenue, but this demonstrates market exposure rather than an ability to set selling prices.
